Intel launches a new wireless driver, add support for Windows 11 system

Intel is launching a new wireless driver, focusing on adding support for Windows 11 systems. Since the new version of the driver is compatible with this new system that is still in the preview stage, there should be a better wireless connection experience after it is officially launched.

Intel has added support for the Windows 11 system in the previous update of the graphics driver, and now the company has verified and passed the wireless driver (WiFi and Bluetooth) again to add support for the new system. In addition, this driver update also fixes many BUGs and focuses on improving the audio quality performance in Microsoft Teams.

Intel’s wireless driver update has been released in the second week of August. It is applicable to Windows 11 and can be obtained through Intel’s Support & Assistant tool. The WiFi driver update is applicable to the following wireless adapters:

  • 22.70.0.6 for AX210/AX201/AX200/9560/9260/9462/9461.
  • 20.70.25.2 for 8265/8260.
  • 19.51.37.2 for 7265(Rev. D)/3165/3168.

The Bluetooth driver update is applicable to the following wireless adapters:

  • Driver version 22.70.2.1 – AX210, AX201, AX200, 9560, 9462, 9461.
  • Driver version 22.70.0.3 – 9260, 8260, 18260, 8265, 18265.
  • Driver version 20.100.10.3 – 3168, 3165, 7265, 17265.

In the official release notes of the driver update, Intel confirmed that it has added support for Windows 11. In addition, the bug that LG TV cannot connect to Miracast when using Intel’s Wi-Fi has been fixed. Similarly, Intel said that when you use a Bluetooth headset to answer a call, it has improved the audio quality of Microsoft Teams.
