iPhones updated to iOS 14.7.1, network connection problems

iOS 14.7.1 brought with it an annoying bug: some iPhone owners, in fact, following this update, reported the interruption of cellular connectivity. The reports on the Apple Developer Forum are numerous, and they are all of this tone: After carrying out the update in question I have completely lost the possibility of using the data network. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and still, not I can solve it.

Among the troubleshooting steps was to reset the phone, reset the network settings and re-insert the SIM card. Other iPhone owners ( 6s, 7, 8, 11 among them ) have confirmed the problem, including the post from Fuse 1369 which stated: iPhone 7 is fully functional. Updated to iOS 14.7.1, it is now a paperweight.

Apple’s support page (link in VIA) has some tips for those affected by the problem. If you see No service on your iPhone (or iPad in Cellular version) or you can’t connect to a cellular network, you need to make sure you are in an area where the provider has coverage. In such a case, an update of the carrier settings should be attempted.

Apple also suggests resetting the network settings. To do this, go to Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings. This will also reset previously used Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN and APN settings. However, these are palliatives. According to reports, in fact, the Cupertino company could soon release a further update to solve the problem.
