Audi Grandsphere concept car released

As part of Audi’s development of the next-generation high-tech pure electric luxury car Project Artemis project, after the Skysphere two-seater concept sports car, Audi has officially released the second Sphere series concept car Audi Grandsphere overseas.

The new Audi Grandsphere concept car is based on the PPE platform and is positioned as an electric luxury four-door sedan. It will use L4 autonomous driving technology. The new car can be regarded as the successor model of the Audi A8. It is planned to be unveiled at the Munich Motor Show that will open next Monday. The production model is expected to be officially launched in 2024.

The front face of Audi’s new Grandsphere concept car adopts a family-oriented hexagonal grille, which provides a large honeycomb-shaped closed grille, which can light up light and shadow effects. The side of the body presents a slip-back design, and a small-sized spoiler is added to the rear. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5350×2000×1390mm, respectively, and its body length and width surpass those of Mercedes-Benz S-Class models.

It is worth mentioning that the biggest highlight of the car is that it has no B-pillars and adopts a side-by-side door design. The open interior space creates a unique atmosphere. Audi’s new Grandsphere concept car provides a dual-spoke multi-function steering wheel inside and is equipped with LCD instruments and a large-size head-up display screen.

In terms of the interaction of the infotainment system, Grandsphere uses the latest version of the Audi multimedia interface system, which is called MMI Touchless Response. In terms of power, the Grandsphere concept car is powered by two electric motors, with a maximum output of 530kW and a maximum torque of 960N·m. At the same time, it is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 120kWh, allowing it to have a cruising range of more than 750km. In terms of performance, this concept car only needs 4 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h.
