Since it was presented a few months ago, the Google team has been increasingly committed to introducing small elements of the new graphics system within the proprietary applications.
Google Lens
How not to mention, for example, the new Material You style for Google Maps, the new style of automatic background color change on Google Chrome Canary and the arrival of the new color palette also for Google Discover. Google Lens enters the exclusive club of proprietary apps that begin to embrace some elements in full Material You style.
In fact, by opening the application and moving to the panel relating to the text translation filter, it is possible to notice how the main color and the background theme vary in relation to the primary colors of the wallpaper set for the home screen.
There is also a difference in the way in which the Material You shapes itself in relation to the presence of Android 11 or Android 12: in the case of the current version of Android, the pill menu sees a blue background; on Android 12, on the other hand, the Dynamic Color is more pronounced. The news of Google Lens is linked to the presence of the beta version 12.34 of the Google App, as well as the introduction of the Google Lens quick access icon within the Google search widget.
Gmail
New information published by XDA indicates that a user equipped with Google Pixel 5 with Android 12 has received a build of Gmail (2021.08.24.394054613) with full support for Material Design. The images above clearly show how the entire Gmail graphical interface is characterized by the Dynamic Color system with color accents related to the home screen wallpaper.
