All Samsung Galaxy A series devices will have OIS

This year we were lucky enough to see Samsung begin offering Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) function to the main cameras of some Galaxy A series mid-range devices, such as the A52 and A72. Next year, however, things will be different.

According to a new, unconfirmed report from Korea, Samsung is likely to add OIS to the main cameras of all A-Series models to be launched in 2022. This would be a very pleasant development because until recently the feature was intended only for flagships!

If Samsung fulfills this wish of many, it will have a significant advantage over Xiaomi in the low and middle class and users may prefer the South Korean models. Xiaomi devices usually win Samsung vfm proposals, but with OIS on Galaxy A-series models, Sammy will have the upper hand in the image quality of the camera, especially at night.

However, we wonder how many people even know what OIS is or why it is important and how many would choose one phone over another based on this feature. We will have to wait until next year to find out the answer to this question. The report also states that one camera with OIS is about 15% more expensive than another that lacks this feature.
