Instagram working on a novelty to offer more control over the feed

In addition to the farewell to the swipe up, there is other news coming to Instagram. In fact, it seems that soon we may have a way to tell the algorithm that organizes the feed for us which content to show us first. Like? Thanks to the ability to set some of your contacts as favorites as shown by Alessandro Paluzzi, always looking for clues about future features in the code, who shared his discovery on Twitter.

In this way, the feed should be organized hierarchically in order to privilege and immediately show the contents of the contacts that we have marked as favorites, and only after the others. And if you are embarrassed by the possibility that interested parties may learn that they have been included among your thanks, do not worry: the users you mark as favorites will not receive any notifications.

At the moment this novelty is not yet available in the stable version of the app, and it is only under development, nor can we hypothesize when and how Instagram will decide to officially distribute it: for now we can only be satisfied with a peek thanks to the screens you find above. And who knows that there are no other renovations planned to reconfigure the relationship between users and the feed.
