With the release of the first Windows 11 preview in July this year, Microsoft announced a major visual update to Office applications on the Windows platform. After the Beta channel test, Microsoft today sent Version 2108 Build 14326.20046 to all Current Channel (Preview) users.

How to fix the ribbon toolbar
To collapse or fix the ribbon toolbar, select the Ribbon Display option, and then select the Always Show Ribbon option to keep the ribbon fixed. You can also click ctrl + F1 or double-click the ribbon label to quickly switch the status of the ribbon.
How to display Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)
Display and privacy
The function of hiding QAT has been added. If you have never customized your QAT, it will be hidden by default. To display it, select the ribbon display options>Show Quick Access Toolbar, or right-click any area of the ribbon and select Show Quick Access Toolbar from the shortcut menu.
Location
By default, the Quick Access Toolbar appears below the ribbon. You can also place it on the ribbon by selecting Customize Quick Access Toolbar.
Label
To help you distinguish the commands in QAT, we now support displaying command labels. You can disable these tags by clicking Customize Quick Access Toolbar> Hide Command Tags.
Default command
Undo and redo commands appear on the main tab. To further customize the ribbon and QAT, use the ribbon display options or customize the quick access toolbar menu. Learn more about QAT.
