Sony working on a new pair of affordable TWS headphones called Sony WF-C500

New budget true wireless headphones coming from Sony, which is preparing to respond to the fierce competition with a product that should amaze above all for its autonomy and value for money. Here’s everything we know to date about these new headphones, known as the Sony WF-C500.

The rumors come from The Walkman Blog, a source that talks about these Sony WF-C500 as a pair of true wireless headphones resistant to sweat and splashes of water (IPX4) and equipped with a longer autonomy than that of the Samsung Galaxy Buds. 2 (on single charge): up to 10 hours of continuous listening and a maximum of 20 using the charging case.

Autonomy aside, it is rumored that they will not be equipped with the active noise cancellation system, normal considering that it is an economic model, that they will have Bluetooth connectivity provided by the Airoha chip, and that they will be very similar, aesthetically speaking, to Sony WF-1000XM4 , high-end model presented last June, albeit not sharing the same build quality.

For the rest, the rumors speak of four colors for these Sony WF-C500: black, green, white and orange, colors that may vary depending on the market. And the price ? About $ 80, but we’ll certainly know more as we go.
