NVIDIA releases Windows 11 driver to add DLSS that supports more than 100 games

NVIDIA today released a new display driver that adds DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support to 28 games, and it has now passed Windows 10 and Windows 11 certification. The addition of 28 DLSS games brings the total number of games to more than 100, which is an important milestone in NVIDIA’s AI-based time-space scaling. DLSS upgrades the game from a lower resolution to provide a smoother frame rate without significant loss in image quality.

Most of the new DLSS support additions are provided by the Unreal Engine 4 DLSS plugin, which makes it easier for developers to integrate DLSS into their games. Alan Wake Remastered will support DLSS next month, and NVIDIA promises to have up to 2 times the performance improvement under 4K conditions. According to NVIDIA, when DLSS is enabled, each GeForce RTX GPU can get more than 60fps at the maximum setting of 4K, which means that a graphics card like RTX 2080 Ti jumps from an average of 70fps to 120fps.

Today’s NVIDIA driver also includes support for Windows 11, optimized for Alan Wake Remastered, Deathloop, Diablo II: Resurrected, Far Cry 6, Hot Wheels Unleashed, India, New World and World War Z: Aftermath.

You can download NVIDIA’s latest driver (472.12) on NVIDIA’s website for Windows 10 and Windows 11
