Dragon Quest 11 co-developer Orca will participate in 12 development

Japanese developer Orca announced that the company is recruiting Unreal Engine 5 game developers to develop Dragon Quest 12: Fire of Destiny and unannounced game content developed by Unreal Engine.

The Shinjuku developer has previously co-developed Dragon Quest 11 and Dragon Quest 11 S: Final Edition with Square Enix, and Ace Combat 7: Unknown Airspace jointly developed with Bandai Namco And other works.

Other positions currently being recruited include various department art, motion animators, facial animators, level designers and planners. Dragon Quest 12: Fire of Destiny was officially announced in May, and the landing platform has not yet been announced.

This work will be developed on Unreal Engine 5. In today’s announcement, Orca is the second known co-developer of the project, and the other developer is the Hexa Drive we previously reported.
