Report: 1.3% of users are already using Windows 11 before it is launched

AdDuplex released data for September 2021, giving us an in-depth understanding of the market share of different versions of the Windows desktop operating system. According to the latest data from AdDuplex, the number of unreleased Windows 11 users has increased significantly, accounting for 1.3% of the entire Windows operating system market share (compared to 0.9% in July).

Windows 10 21H1 update is the most popular operating system version, with a market share of 38.1%. It was followed by the Windows 10 20H2 update with a market share of 36.1%. After 20H2 is the May 2020 update of Windows 10, which is currently running on 14.5% of Windows 10 computers. On the other hand, Windows 10 1909 has a 4.3% share, while Windows 10 1903 has a 2.1%.

It is worth noting that AdDuplex’s data is based on nearly 80,000 PCs running UWP store applications. Therefore, it does not portray the appearance of PCs in the world. Microsoft will release a stable version of Windows 11 to the public on October 5.
