Here’s how to use WhatsApp to keep reminders, documents and files

WhatsApp is undoubtedly the most popular among the many multi-platform instant messaging services available and this is also thanks to the constant commitment of its developers aimed at making this platform increasingly feature-rich and capable of offering a continuously improving experience (suffice it think about the many beta versions that are released almost every day).

And it is precisely in this perspective that a feature studied by the team of WhatsApp developers should be evaluated and thanks to which users have the ability to send messages directly to their number: this means that the messaging service can be used to take notes or put aside documents to be found at the desired time.

How to text yourself on WhatsApp for Android

If we have piqued your curiosity and want to take advantage of this WhatsApp feature, all you have to do is follow a few simple steps:

  • Open a browser on the Android smartphone
  • Type in the address bar “wa.me//” to which you must add your telephone number with the national prefix (for example, in Italy you must enter wa.me//39 and your telephone number )
  • At this point, you will be redirected to a WhatsApp page, where your phone number will be shown at the top and below a box with the wording “Continue and go to chat”, on which you must click
  • The new chat window will then open, in which it will be possible to send messages, documents and multimedia contents to yourself and which will be displayed in the list of conversations with all the others

This procedure is practically the same to use even if you want to take advantage of the Web client of the popular instant messaging application. It is also possible to use this method to chat with a person without first saving his number.
