Google Cloud launches a new N2 virtual device

Recently, Google Cloud announced that it will soon release a public beta version of the computing engine N2 device series equipped with the third-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor (code-named Ice Lake).

According to reports, the N2 virtual device can be flexibly adjusted for workloads such as network and application services, enterprise applications, large and medium-sized databases, caches, media transcoding streams, and game servers, and provides balanced performance.

In addition, the latest Google Cloud N2 device series utilizes many AI and encryption acceleration engines in the third-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors to improve overall performance. The latest N2 virtual device beta version of Google Cloud will be available in the early fourth quarter of 2021.
