Samsung increasingly relying on Knox for mobile security on Android

The hyper digitization we are experiencing in recent times has brought and will bring different types of benefits, but also an increase in cyber security risks. Precisely for this reason, Samsung continues to push on the Knox platform for mobile devices that are always safe and protected.

Samsung Knox as a shield for safe and secure devices

Samsung is increasingly placing emphasis on Knox, its proven mobile security platform built into Galaxy devices. Developed in 2013, Samsung Knox was initially created as a security solution for businesses but quickly proved useful for consumers as well. To date, it provides end-to-end protection in real-time for the entire lifespan of the products.

Over the years Knox has evolved with the aim of always remaining at the forefront of mobile security solutions. With Knox Vault, for example, specific hardware (a secure processor with isolated security memory) is combined with new integrated software, capable of protecting data within applications and the Android operating system: hardware and software work together but at the same time. at the same time independently in order not to offer “the side” to cyber-attacks.

This system was integrated for the first time onboard the Samsung Galaxy S21 series and allows not only protection with PIN, password and biometric data, but also the possible self-destruction of sensitive information in case of attacks. With the Knox Cloud solutions aimed at companies, Samsung has also introduced a series of strategies designed to support corporate mobility and allow different types of businesses to configure, customize, distribute and manage devices of all types.

All of this adds to the importance of delivering ever-recent security patches on board Samsung Galaxy devices. As we have seen, all those presented on the market from 2019 will be able to receive periodic updates for at least four years from the initial debut. All these cyber security projects are the result not only of the work of Samsung itself but also of the constant collaboration with more than 1000 partners.
