While Google is obviously busy checking out the latest details about the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro launch event – the team of engineers and programmers of the Mountain View giant is already working on the features that will find a place on Android 13.
In this regard, Mishaal Rahman, a well-known face of the Android world and XDA, expressed his point of view on Twitter about how to develop a new version of Android. According to Rahman Google should embrace a completely open Android development, rather than this internal build and AOSP public build situation that we have right now.
I personally think Google should switch to developing Android fully in the open, rather than this internal vs. public AOSP situation we have right now.

In essence, what Rahman criticized is quite understandable and acceptable: instead of proceeding with the development of the central functions of Android 13 with some selected partners – Google also has various levels of access to the code based on the company with which it collaborates -, the Mountain View company should have a more open and collaborative approach with the entire community.
