Tasker extends the functions of Quick Tap to Snap
Going in order, during the presentation of Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro, the Mountain View giant had stopped to show some of the exclusive software features of the new series such as, for example, Quick Tap to Snap. The feature was born with the intention of encouraging and facilitating the sharing of content on Snapchat through a simple double tap on the rear frame of the two phones; Well, João Dias, the Tasker developer, presented a Tasker update on Reddit to take advantage of the gesture in many other ways.

In addition to offering the opening of each application installed on your smartphone, the new version of Tasker also uses Quick Tap to Snap to trigger a series of different actions if the phone is oriented in portrait or landscape mode. The developer also shared some projects from Tasker to take advantage of Google Pixel 6’s Quick Tap to Snap in creative ways:
- Open the camera in photo mode while the phone is upright and in video mode while it is on its side ;
- Open two different apps;
- Custom actions.
