The October 2021 system update of the Xbox console is now available to all players. The main function of this update is to allow the dashboard of the Xbox Series X console to be rendered in 4K resolution.
This feature has been tested in the Xbox Insiders project since August this year. Before the update, the Xbox Series X console had been rendering the dashboard and other UI elements at a resolution of 1080P and then stretched.
Another new feature added in this update is the Xbox night mode, which is a set of settings that adjust the light source to keep the room dark at night or to help players who are sensitive to light. The user can dim the display, or dim the white power light of the main unit and handle to prevent distraction (such as when watching a movie in the dark).

They can also create a night mode schedule to set when the night mode is turned on and off. Finally, the Xbox Guide adds a new quick setting option that allows players to quickly turn on or off specific features, making it easier for families with different access needs to change settings.
