Google Pixel 4 could have had a display with curved edges

From time to time, images are published on the Net that allows us to observe the smartphone prototypes that were then set aside by the respective manufacturers in favor of other solutions and in the past few hours this has happened for one of Google’s most popular phones: we are talking about Google Pixel 4.

Compared to its predecessor, namely Google Pixel 3, this smartphone arrived on the market in 2019 with a new look, even if many expected from the Mountain View giant some more important news from the point of view of design. And in fact, as confirmed by Mishaal Rahman, the Google team had more ambitious projects in terms of design, even if in the end they decided to focus on a more classic solution.

Rahman has posted some photos on Twitter that show us some of the Google Pixel 4 prototypes made by the Mountain View giant before choosing the model to be marketed and just a quick glance to notice that one of the main differences is represented by the display with curved sides. (the phone launched by Google, on the other hand, features a flat-screen).

Other differences compared to the Google Pixel 4 we know are represented by the lower frame of slightly more generous dimensions and by the rear photographic compartment. Recall that Google Pixel 4 can count on a 5.7-inch OLED display with Full HD + resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of integrated memory, an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual-camera. rear (with 12.2-megapixel primary sensor and 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle), a 2,800 mAh battery.

We are sure that many would have appreciated a Google Pixel 4 with a display with curved edges, as this solution guarantees the device a more attractive and modern design. Should Google have dared more?
