External hyperlinks via link stickers will be available on Instagram for all users, even those with fewer than 10,000 followers. The announcement was made by the Facebook group company via a post on its official blog.
We know how crucial it is for our community to be able to share what they care about most, and this new feature can be used by creators to make their voices heard in support of important issues such as equality and social justice. For companies, it could be a way to share new offers with customers or, again, for artists it could represent a way to make their works known.
When we first introduced Link sharing in Stories, the feature was only available for select accounts. We noticed that this feature could, however, be useful for accounts of all sizes and types, so we decided to expand access to the Stories Link sticker to everyone.

According to Instagram, therefore, anyone can take advantage of sharing links to interact with their followers and that is why everyone will have access to this feature. Tests with link stickers began last June, replacing the classic swipe up, but until now the feature has always been limited exclusively to verified accounts or those with a large number of followers.
Instagram, however, will check links by disabling this feature to accounts that repeatedly share misinformation or hate speech. To add an external link just choose the Link sticker, enter the web address you want to point to and place it where you want.
It works similar to any other sticker in the Stories. In the next few years, the note concludes, Instagram will work on new updates for the Links that will offer more creative control, including text customization, and new colors.
