According to VGC reports, Activision recently acquired Digital Legends, a developer based in Barcelona, ​​Spain, responsible for the development of a new Call of Duty mobile game. The best-known games of Digital Legends are the mobile games Respawnables and Afterpulse series.

VGC reported that Digital Legends and Activision’s three studios-Beenox, Activision Shanghai, and the internal team Solid State, have been working closely throughout 2021 to develop the Call of Duty game for mobile platforms. In August of this year, Activision confirmed the establishment of an internal mobile game development team Solid State.

Chris Plummer, president of Activision’s mobile division, said that they are building a world-class mobile game development team, and the future can be expected. Activision launched the free mobile game Call of Duty Mobile in November 2019, and the free game Call of Duty: Warzone in March 2020.
