Samsung developing the Exynos 1280 chip for the low-end entry market

According to the latest tweet released by the Ice Universe, Samsung will soon launch the Exynos 1280 mobile chipset. The specifications/performance of this chip may not be as good as Exynos 1080, mainly targeting the low-end entry market, which can be equipped on entry phones and tablets. Although there is currently no relevant information on the number of cores, manufacturing processes, GPUs, etc., it is believed that the chip will support 5G network connections.

Unlike 2021 or a few years before, most Galaxy phones in the future will use Exynos chipsets instead of MediaTek or Qualcomm. This is a good move because, in this way, Samsung will have more stringent control over the supply. There are other rumors that Samsung is developing at least two high-end Exynos processors, a mid-range chipset, and an entry-level Exynos chipset. This shows that we will see more Galaxy phones using these chips.

Another thing that the media Wccftech wants to point out is that, like Exynos 1080; Exynos 1280 may not debut in Samsung phones but may be shown in other phones.
