The latest update of the Oculus VR headset further prevents accidental collisions

At the Connect 2021 conference of Meta (Facebook), the company announced that GTA: San Andreas will land on the Quest 2 VR headset. In order to ensure a safer gaming experience, the company today (November 3) announced the latest software feature updates on the Quest and Quest 2 headsets. The most important of these updates is the system called Space Sense, which can warn the user of any objects that invade the set space in real-time when the user uses the headset.

The update is designed to protect the safety of users and other people and objects in the home. Considering that pets and children often break in when players use VR, this update can remind users of their presence. Oculus’s official website states that the Space Sense function can detect people, large pets (small pets like cats and small dogs are not), and other objects that may enter the VR area. Oculus said these things will be highlighted in the headset and surrounded by pink light.
