Linux Kernel 5.16 will provide mainline support for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4

The upcoming Linux Kernel 5.16 introduces a lot of exciting new features and improvements, the most noteworthy of which is the mainline support for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. The Raspberry Pi Compute Module is specially designed for industrial and commercial applications, including thin clients and digital signage solutions.

Compute Module 4 is powered by BCM2711 like the Raspberry Pi and builds on the success of earlier versions. Compute Module 4 also introduces a new form factor to make the module footprint smaller. In the recent Arm platform/SoC changes, Compute Module 4 support has been added. DeviceTree is now set up for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 and its I/O board.
