Netflix launches short video feature for children

American video streaming giant Netflix recently launched a short video feature for children-Kids Clips, which is its latest move to attract young users. This feature appears on Netflix’s iOS users and will play short videos from the company’s existing library of children’s shows and movies. Netflix plans to add new video clips every day on the basis of existing and future videos.

Netflix is experimenting with some new features to allow consumers to see more videos. The move is also to attract viewers who usually watch short videos on YouTube. Netflix called Kids Clips a test based on the earlier Fast Laughs that featured short comedy videos. The company also ranked its most popular shows, giving users another way to find shows they might like.

The video of Kids Clips will be similar to Fast Laughs, but it can be viewed on the phone horizontally instead of vertically and will be displayed on full screen. In order to protect children’s eyesight, they can only watch 10 to 20 short videos at a time.

The feature will be launched this week in the United States, Latin American Spanish-speaking countries, and markets such as Canada, Australia, and Ireland.
