Windows Insider members who installed Windows 11 Build 22494 reported that the new preview version will destroy the key lights of caps lock, scroll lock, and number lock. Some users explained that although the keys are working properly, the indicator light does not light up. It is difficult to figure out whether they have been enabled, and in some cases can make users suspect that there is a problem with their keyboard.
There is currently no temporary solution to this issue, but the good news is that Microsoft is investigating this issue, so it should be fixed in an upcoming preview. At the same time, such a small error caused a considerable headache for users who installed the latest preview version on their devices.
Someone wrote on the Feedback Hub: “Please solve this problem as soon as possible. Imagine someone accidentally sent a message in all capitals to their sensitive boss without realizing it, and was fired because of this. This problem can ruin a Human life”.

Of course, if you are also struggling with this matter, the easiest way to deal with it is to install a special application and put the key indicators directly in the system tray. One of the applications is TrayStatus. This small application adds caps lock, number lock, scroll lock and other special indicators to the system tray, so you know when these keys are pressed.
