Google has just introduced the game dashboard for Android 12, which is currently exclusive to Pixel 6/6 Pro smartphones. In addition to some useful tools, the company also encourages developers to make full use of the game mode API and has a list of games optimized for Pixel 6. Interested friends can move to the top of the Games tab in the Play Store to see if there is a carousel introduction such as Improve performance/save battery.
Through the Game Mode API, developers can allow players to set whether to prioritize the gaming experience or extend the battery life of the device. Then Pixel 6 users can enable the Game Dashboard from System Settings -> Applications -> General/Game Settings.
When opening a compatible game, you will see a floating bubble overlay. Located under the screen recording, frame rate meter, DND shortcut, and next to the YouTube live broadcast optimization porcelain stickers and further provides three settings options.

If you choose performance priority, the game frame rate will be guaranteed first. If you choose the standard mode, the game will use the default parameter settings. If you choose the power-saving mode, Android 12 will give priority to the game to protect the battery life of the device.
In fact, as early as July, Google revealed that the Game Mode API will be available on select Android 12 devices later this year. Although it is currently limited to Pixel 6, Samsung and other OEM partners will soon follow up.
