N card Battlefield 2042 driver update is not obvious

Battlefield 2042 was officially opened to users who pre-ordered the premium version last Friday (November 12). Today (November 17) NVIDIA released a new GeForce Game Ready driver designed to allow players to maintain a better frame rate in a battlefield with 128 players.

According to the PC Gamer test, after installing the driver, the frame rate of Battlefield 2042 does not increase much, and Nvidia’s DLSS performance enhancement function does not bring much performance improvement. In the test of Intel i5-9600K and RTX 2070 Super graphics card, the resolution is set to 1440p, the picture quality is medium, DLSS is set to balance, and the frame rate of the game is 80 to 90 FPS. When DLSS is set to “Off”, the frame rate is around 70 to 80 FPS. In some scenes, the frame rate will drop to 50 FPS, and there will be freezes from time to time.

According to PC Gamer, in addition to the 20 series graphics cards, RTX 3090 players may also encounter frame rate fluctuations or freeze problems, because Battlefield 2042 has higher CPU requirements. The minimum requirement on Steam is AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-6600K, but in the test, the i5-9600K usage rate is as high as 100% most of the time.
