Microsoft opens new Emoji to all Windows 11 users

After inviting members of the Windows Insider project for more than a month of testing, Microsoft is now launching a series of new Emojis for all Windows 11 users. In this way, users will have more ways to express their emotions in social media and instant messaging.

If you want the latest Emoji, users need to install this month’s optional update. Users can visit Windows Update in the Windows 11 Settings app, manually check for updates, and then click to download and install. Once installed, your computer will restart. This will take a few minutes, and then you can use “Windows key + period” in the emoji selector to access the new emoji.

As a reminder, these new emojis are all about fun, expression, and personality. The emojis are still 2D, but they look much more vivid than previous Windows versions. However, Microsoft said it should give people a feeling of “personality and familiarity.” However, some people are dissatisfied with the fact that these emojis look so “flat” compared to the preview released by the Microsoft design team.
