Smartphone owners Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO are patiently waiting for the release of the new MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and finally, there is a date to keep an eye on, although it has not yet been officially confirmed.
MIUI 13: date and other info (Xiaomi 12)
Other OEMs, including Samsung – which has even already started the rollout of the stable update -, OPPO and OnePlus, have already unveiled their updates based on Android 12, while Xiaomi is guilty of delay. Version 13 of MIUI is currently under development and some of the most recent flagship models have received the first internal builds via the stable beta channel, however, almost two months after the arrival of Android 12 in the AOSP, there is still no are stable updates insight.
Apparently, however, the situation is about to change: if so far we only had an indicative reference period, Xiaomiui reported that the manufacturer could officially announce the MIUI 13 on December 16, 2021, even if starting from China. According to the source, the event will be quite large and will see the new Xiaomi 12 flagship smartphone as another great protagonist.
In truth, we are talking about an event that could last around four hours, too much for just two announcements, even by the standards that Xiaomi has accustomed us to. In short, December 16 could be a day full of news for the Chinese house. Returning to MIUI 13, in recent days we have seen which Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models should receive it and that there could be a goodbye.
The ROM should make important steps forward compared to MIUI 12.5 from different points of view, but at the moment – in addition to the renewal of the File Manager and the Themes app – little is known about the new functions coming. Currently, there are at least nine models that have received internal test builds, including the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, Xiaomi Mi 10S, Xiaomi MIX 4, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+.
