Battlefield 2042: Tragedy on Metacritic, is the worst chapter ever

The latest creative season of the FPS genre isn’t turning out to be very bold. Both Call of Duty Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 are proving to be two of the weakest chapters of their respective sagas. In addition to a series of technical problems and bugs, both titles are falling short of expectations, so much so that the new chapter of the Battlefield franchise is getting an extremely low rating on Metacritic.

The most recent work by DICE adds yet another piece to the long-running first-person shooter series born in the 2000s. Battlefield 2042 was received quite lukewarmly by a large slice of the community at the time of launch, which immediately expressed a series of criticisms aimed at the scarce offer proposed by the exclusively multiplayer title and the gameplay that presented itself at the starting line with a series of annoying bugs.

However, what no one would have ever imagined concerns the evaluation of the game on Metacritic. Battlefield 2042 currently has the lowest-rated rating of its franchise ever. The PC version took home the highest score, which comes in at a rating of 70, followed by the console versions which have a rating of 60. Users score dramatically lower, with the PC version of the game having a rating of 60. a tragic score of 2.9

The negative evaluations against the recent Battlefield 2042 do not stop at Metacritic, given that even on Steam the game does not enjoy better user opinions. In short, after such a launch we hope that DICE can work hard to fix things and rebalance the fate of what, to date, appears to be the worst chapter in the FPS saga.
