Samsung Galaxy Home Mini will have a successor but not for everyone

Samsung up to now has not had a particular interest in the smart speaker sector and a confirmation of this is represented by Samsung Galaxy Home Mini, a device launched on the market after several postponements and which has never left the borders of South Korea (and there is no information to suggest that this will happen in the future). It seems, however, that the Korean giant is engaged in the creation of another device of this kind, whose official name could be the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 (at the moment there are no certainties).

Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 may be on the way

The device in question, which has the SM-V320 model number as its model number, should be a sort of enhanced version of Samsung Galaxy Home Mini and could be equipped with a display, even if it is not clear what shape (perhaps with a solution which is somewhat reminiscent of Google Home Hub).

On the occasion of the launch of Samsung Galaxy Home Mini, it was said that the Korean giant wanted to exploit this device to get an idea of what users could want from a device of this type and then create an entire family of smart speakers but, apparently, the company’s plans have changed.

Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 could follow a similar path and its marketing could be limited to South Korea, although it will probably be released in larger quantities and will be able to count on some improvements compared to the original model, also based on the feedback of those who have bought the first model.

For European users, however, that of a Samsung smart speaker could remain only a sort of mirage for a long time. Fortunately, the market offers several valid alternatives and those who need such a device are spoiled for choice.
