This morning, Google updated a number of its Android applications and services, including the Android Auto mirroring software and the latest Android phones to introduce some new features related to cars. Android Auto has gained some new features to make driving more comfortable on the road.
These new features include a new auto-start setting that automatically starts the dashboard interface once the phone is connected to the car. A new always-on play button will also be added to the main screen, allowing users to see their favorite music with just one click.
Google is also rolling out enhancements to Android Auto voice search. You should be able to click and say the name of the artist or song to start listening instead of being as cumbersome as Listening to The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret by the Stone Age Queen on Spotify.

At the same time, Google is making it easier to reply to text messages. Integrate the Smart Reply shortcut of Google Assistant into the Android Auto compatible application. If the assistant detects a problem in the incoming message, a new notification shadow will slide in from the bottom of the screen, with a one-click reply such as Yes, No, or On the road. Google said that it expects this feature to begin rolling out in the next few months.
Finally, the previously announced digital car key function is finally available, but only on Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 devices, and only in some countries. People who use these devices, if they happen to own a compatible BMW car, should soon be able to lock, unlock and start their car by tapping on their phone.
