Since the development and update of Mortal Kombat 11 ceased, fans have been full of rumors and speculations about NetherRealm Studios’ next unannounced game. But even though there are no rumors of the development of MultiVersus, there are still many game series or new IPs under Warner’s for NetherRealm to choose from. We all remember that the trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 was shown at the world premiere at the 2018 TGA game event. The latest news said that NetherRealm will once again return to the gaming event hosted by Geoff Keighley.

The news comes from an exchange between Twitter user HoneyBee and studio designer and senior production director Jonathan Andersen. HoneyBee asked in December Can we know what kind of work NetherRealm Studios is doing? Andersen replied, I also look forward to it with respect. Such a response may indicate that NetherRealm will announce something worth looking forward to, given past precedents. It is very likely to be on this TGA.
As for a new Mortal Kombat game, or an Injustice game, or a brand new IP, Andersen did not respond to this. He certainly did not want to destroy it less than a week before TGA. A surprise for fans. Nevertheless, this is still only our guess. Whether we can see NetherRealm’s new game on TGA or not, we still have to wait a week, when all the speculation and rumors will be over.
