According to the latest report, Google is planning to introduce Android games to Windows PC next year. Google will launch a Google Play Games application in 2022, allowing Google Play games to run on Windows laptops, tablets and PCs.

Google spokesperson Alex Garcia-Kummert told The Verge that the company has independently developed the application, which means that Google has not cooperated with Microsoft, BlueStacks, or other companies. The upcoming application will also allow players to continue the game on their desktop PC after playing the game on their mobile phone, tablet or Chromebook.

At present, Google has only previewed the application and promised to release it sometime next year. It is unclear what technology Google uses to simulate Android applications on Windows, but the game will run locally instead of streaming from the cloud.
This will be a native Windows application released by Google, and it will support Windows 10 and above, Hartrell explained. The Google Play Games application will not rely on any special integration with Windows 11, and the company will also independently Distribute the application.
Google’s announcement was made a few months after Microsoft started testing Android apps on Windows 11 PCs. Microsoft has established a low-level Windows subsystem for Android that can run Android applications from different sources. Microsoft and Amazon have cooperated to allow Windows users to natively install games and applications from the Amazon AppStore, but there is no native Google Play support.
Since Microsoft is only cooperating with Amazon to launch this feature, this means that there are far fewer Android games and applications that can be easily installed by Windows 11 users. The doors for Google, BlueStacks and other companies to fill this vacancy have opened.
