Instagram has added another feature similar to something seen on TikTok in an attempt to steal users from this popular platform. If a user comments on a published Reel, tapping the “Reply” button will now be able to add a comment sticker to a new Reel.
Instagram adds a new TikTok-inspired feature
By tapping “reply to a comment” and tapping the camera button, you will be able to add that comment as a sticker in a new Reel, with the ability to position it and change its color.
Currently, the Reels Visual Replies feature seems to be limited to just comments on your own Reels and not yet on posts or comments on other users’ Reels.
Instagram changes and additions over the past couple of years have made it more and more like TikTok. It is no coincidence that the photo social network has just added the speech synthesis and voice effect features that have been a staple for TikTok.
While not an original feature, Reels Visual Replies is another fun way to interact with your Instagram audience. Last week Instagram launched the new Playback feature to relive their Instagram Stories posted in 2021.
