The number of daily active users of Android Go has exceeded 200 million. As a lightweight version of the complete Android system, Android Go was first launched in 2017, providing a smoother Android experience for users of entry-level devices with 2GB of RAM or less.
Now, Google also announced that some entry-level devices can be upgraded to Android 12 (Go version), bringing a series of standard, newly released Android 12 features to more devices. Most notably, mobile phones equipped with Android 12 (Go version) will open applications faster by 30%, and the animation effects will be smoother. Google says that the application will open without delay, eliminating the short time you may see a blank screen.
Other features of the Android 12 Go version also include a privacy dashboard, which allows you to view and access your application permissions in a coordinated manner. You may also recognize translation tools on the screen, automatic application sleep, which helps save your phone’s battery life, and convenient features that allow you to share applications with nearby devices, preventing other users from having to use data to download it.
