Google doesn’t tolerate other manufacturers being faster with updates

As a rule, Google is the manufacturer that first equips its smartphones with new security updates and Android versions. Google doesn’t want other manufacturers to be faster

OSOM recently spoke for the first time about its new OSOM OV1 Android smartphone arriving in 2022 with a focus on privacy. Essential’s former employees are ready for a new chapter, and in an interview, a spokesperson revealed that the company has even been scolded by Google for releasing new security updates too quickly. In essence, Google’s message likely means that the internet giant won’t allow other manufacturers to send updates before they’ve been released for Google Pixel devices.

This attitude is sobering especially these days, considering the current situation surrounding the Google Pixel 6 range which is having huge problems delivering the current December update to users. These days numerous owners of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro report spontaneous cracks in the display, but Google is not there.
