Galaxy S20 grabbed Stable Android 12 update (One UI 4.0) update in South Korea

Samsung has started rolling out the stable Android 12 (One UI 4.0) update for the Galaxy S20 series users in South Korea. This news has made a smile on the Samsung S20 series users’ faces because they are waiting for it for a long time. This update is available on SKT (South Korea Telecom) carrier, while others may follow soon.

For now, the rollout seems to be limited to South Korea, but more markets should join in on the fun in the coming days (unless Samsung decides to halt the rollout because of issues). If you own a Galaxy S20 series device, you can check if the update is available for you by opening the phone’s Settings » Software update menu and tapping Download and install.

What’s New In This Update:

  • Along with the features of the Android 12 operating system, Samsung introduced the Color Palette AKA Dynamic Themes, allowing users to choose the entire UI’s elements color based on chosen home screen wallpaper as well as advanced privacy functions.
  • Quick Panel: With the One UI 4.0, consumers can manage brightness more comfortably with the larger brightness bar in the quick panel. In addition, the name of the “Media” button has been changed to Media Output.
  • Widgets: One UI 4.0 introduces redesigned Home screen widgets for the Galaxy devices. It gives you more information at a glance and lets you personalize and decorate your home screen in your way, thanks to the new structure of the widget list.

To recall, Samsung Galaxy S20 is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 990 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2.73GHz, 2 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and 4 cores clocked at 2GHz. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S20 runs Android 10 and is powered by a 4000mAh non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy S20 supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.

It has a 12 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a 64-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 12-MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture. On the front side, it has a 10-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 runs One UI 2.0 is based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB).

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy S20 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards.
