Windows 11 may get this important Win 7 feature

Microsoft launched its all-new Windows 11 operating system months ago and brought so many new features including cards and information such as news, weather, and more.

The biggest thing we miss in this latest version is support for third-party widgets and it also does not allow users to pin widgets on the desktop. But it seems we are so near to experiencing this feature, as a new report from the WindowsLatest, the company is planning to make a few big changes to its widgets features with the upcoming updates.

According to the report, Microsoft is planning to add support for third-party widgets in Windows 11 version 22H2. Support for third-party widgets was first introduced by the company with the launch of Windows Vista in 2007 and later the support was also added to Windows 7.

We don’t have any exact information till now that when it will be available. Some report also reveals that no APIs related to third-party widgets were spotted in the current preview or stable builds of the operating system. This means that the initial preview of the upcoming feature is still a few weeks or months away.
