NVIDIA launches GeForce RTX 3050 desktop version graphics card for $249

NVIDIA today introduced the GeForce RTX 3050 for desktop computers. The budget-friendly graphics card, which starts at $249, will be equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and promises to be able to run the latest games at over 60 frames at 1440p resolution with ray tracing enabled.

Like the company’s more powerful sister product in the 30 series, it will be equipped with a third-generation Tensor core to power NVIDIA’s DLSS for smart upgrades and AI workloads and a second-generation RT core for ray tracing.

NVIDIA pointed out that the vast majority of 75% of gamers are still using GTX GPUs, which should make the RTX 3050 a compelling upgrade for many people. For example, the 2016 GTX 1050 is unlikely to run modern games at 60 frames, and even the more recent GTX 1650 is often difficult to do now.

Graphics products based on this newly released GPU chip will be launched on January 27, and it is expected that more than a dozen manufacturers will provide it at once. In addition to these budget chips, NVIDIA also announced the RTX 3090 Ti but did not provide any real details about it. We will know more later this month.

For notebook players and creators, NVIDIA today also announced the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti notebook GPU, which promises to provide better performance than previous desktop Titan RTX machines. Laptops equipped with this chip will start at $2499.

From a more economical point of view, the new notebook GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU will be launched on a machine with a starting price of $1,499 and will provide 70% more performance than a 2070 super notebook at 1440p resolution. 1440p is also what NVIDIA is currently pushing for e-sports games.

The new generation of gaming monitors will be able to handle frame rates up to 360fps at 1440p. The first is the new 360fps monitor from Asus, and a new set of monitors from AOC, MSI and ViewSonic. Supports 300fps on it.
