As part of the American CES, Google has various announcements ready for us. This also includes a proper expansion of the Fast Pair functions on other platforms around Android, Chrome OS and the Smarthome.
Fast Pair is the answer to the seamless Apple ecosystem. You have to be so honest, the company from Cupertino was back earlier. But Google’s solution is really good too, and now it’s getting even better. Fast Pair is used for the quick and very uncomplicated connection of several devices with one another. For example, new headphones can be connected to the smartphone in seconds, all you have to do is switch them on.
Fast Pair: Chromebooks, Matter and Android TV OS
Fast Pair is to be expanded again in the coming weeks and months. It will soon be available for headphones that you want to connect to Google TV or Android TV. In addition, Fast Pair will be compatible with the Matter standard for the next few weeks and you can use it to connect your headphones to your Chromebook faster.
Later this year, we’ll also be able to quickly set up Chromebooks with a paired Android device – that finally saves entering Wi-Fi passwords on new devices.
