Apex Legends released the latest Outland Story plot animation yesterday and subsequently launched a new skin for the character Bangalore. But soon players discovered that this skin would cause the game to crash.
Not only that, but players also found new loopholes in the two special weapons in the game that require resources to be recharged-the Frenzy machine gun and the Sentinel sniper rifle. This vulnerability will allow the player to never consume the charge after using the charge, which means that the player does not need to carry the small battery and the incendiary bomb to make these two weapons very powerful, which can be said to be very destructive balance.
Today (January 6) morning, Rebirth notified players on the official Twitter that a hotfix update will be launched. This hotfix update will temporarily disable the two weapons Further and Sentinel, and will also disable Bangalore’s new legendary skin MIL-SPEC. Officials said that the skin can still be purchased through the store and will be available after the skin ban is lifted.

The update also disables the MIL-SPEC Bangalore skin. It is, however, still purchasable from the store and will be present once fixed and re-enabled.

In fact, the infinite charging loophole of the two weapons was first discovered by players last year. Rebirth also released a hotfix update in December to try to fix the loophole. However, in recent weeks, some players have found new ways to exploit vulnerabilities.

On January 4th, the rebirth producer Josh Medina said on Twitter that the game development team’s holiday is over and that various vulnerabilities will be fixed. At the same time, Apex Legends real-time balance planner John Larson also posted information about the vulnerability on Twitter and hinted that those who continue to exploit the vulnerability may be banned in the future.
At present, Rebirth has decided to remove the two weapons Frenzy and Sentinel from the possible drop equipment in all modes to prevent any players from trying to exploit the loopholes. Modes include three-person, two-person battle royale, arena, and of course, ladder mode.
