AirPods Pro 2 will be released in H2 2022 with lossless audio experience

There has been a lot of news recently that Apple will launch the second-generation AirPods Pro true wireless noise-canceling headphones in the second half of 2022. And a new report from DigiTimes revealed that suppliers are preparing for shipments of new high-end AirPods. It is widely expected that the AirPods Pro 2 will adopt a novel form factor, an improved audio experience, and is expected to support Apple Music’s lossless audio playback.

Earlier, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the new AirPods Pro will be equipped with a redesigned portable charging storage box, which can even emit audible sounds to better cater to the Find My feature.

The AirPods true wireless earphones currently on sale can only make the earphone body emit a sound when the user sends a ping command. But if you have a speaker on the charging box, you will have a higher success rate when searching through Find My.

MacRumors has also received some leaked pictures of AirPods Pro before, showing potential designs such as speaker openings on the charging box. Although the authenticity of the relevant design has not been verified, the credibility of Guo Mingji’s historical revelations is still quite high.

In addition, AirPods Pro 2 is said to support lossless audio playback of Apple Music, but due to the limitation of Bluetooth bandwidth, the current AirPods obviously cannot do this. In a recent interview, an Apple executive acknowledged that the limitations of Bluetooth hinder the potential of the AirPods experience, and said the development team is envisioning higher bandwidth options than Bluetooth.
