As per the report, Apple released data showing that users will download millions of apps in the App Store in 2021. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, said: Apple continues to connect the world’s developers, artists and storytellers with users through more than 1 billion devices and more than 745 million paid subscriptions.
Apple pointed out that the App Store global platform helps developers reach more than 600 million users in 175 countries every week. Since the App Store launched in 2008, developers have made more than $260 billion in revenue from selling digital products and services.
According to reports, in the just past holiday season, App Store users’ spending between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve hit a record high, achieving double-digit growth compared to the same period last year.
For Apple Music, Apple Music now plays tens of millions of songs with lossless audio. Hundreds of millions of users will ask Siri to play music in 2021. The Apple Music voice control solution, designed around Siri functionality, is now available in 17 countries and regions.
When it comes to podcasting, users around the world will be listening to millions of podcasts every minute in 2021 to entertain, stay informed, connect with their communities, and learn new things.
For Apple Pay, Apple Pay will expand to 9 new markets in 2021, including Colombia, Israel and Mexico. Today, Apple Pay is available in nearly 60 countries and territories and works with nearly 9,000 banks worldwide. In terms of wallet apps, this year, users will welcome digital home keys and enterprise badges, as well as support for US state IDs and driver’s licenses.
