Final Fantasy VII Remake’s first PC patch released to improve stability

Today (January 14) SE released the first update patch for the PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Transition, which improves the stability of the game resolution above 90 frames. Note that DRS (Dynamic Resolution Scaling) is still on by default, but now it’s not as strong as it was when the game first launched.

This update also sets English as the default subtitles and fixes a number of other issues. However, this update broke the compatibility of the game with FFVIIHook. Fortunately, the author of FFVIIHook released a new version, which is compatible with the new update.

Changelog:

  • Subtitles are now in English by default
  • The game resolution performance is stabilized at 90fps or above
  • Fixed some other issues
