Around the middle of last December, the big dilemma for the Pixel 6 smartphones began. Unfortunately, the update with over 80 bug fixes also brought new errors to the users’ devices. Some of these turned out to be so serious and widespread that Google withdrew the update a few weeks later and recommended the reset for affected devices.

During this time, the wind has turned drastically for the smartphones that were originally received with joy. From deal of the year straight to smartphone hell. Google had to live with the fact that well-known fans around the world turned away from the new devices – we reported. Google later announced that the January update would come later, but would fix serious bugs.

January update brings around 100 fixes and salvation for many Pixel 6 customers

On January 14th there was redemption. Very late in the evening, Google surprisingly released the update. Directly for both Pixel 6 cell phones and as a user you could start the download again directly using the “Check update” button. After the installation was complete, you could immediately see how well the devices are now working.

Some of the bugs have been removed. Mobile communication is finally working again without any problems. The Bluetooth connection is also without any interruptions. Other small errors, for example, the sometimes occurring absence of the always-on display, a white screen after pressing the power button, the stuttering camera and certainly a few other points also seem to be history.

But: You can still find users who continue to report the known problems even after the update. At this point, it would be cool if you would like to share your experiences in the comments.
