Xiaomi wants to announce a few new smartphones for Europe soon. An appointment is very likely already in the third calendar week of the new year.

Xiaomi still has some announcements to make for the start of the new year. In China, new smartphones for the middle class and upper class have already been introduced, which we in Europe have been eagerly waiting for since then. Before the turn of the year, there were Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X. A little earlier the new Redmi Note 11 series.

Now it will probably start soon for us too. Xiaomi has sent out several tweets these days. Last Sunday just with the content “Ready?”. Which in our opinion could well indicate an early presentation. More on that later. A day later, the company brags about the sales figures for the Redmi Note series as a whole. A good 240 million units have been sold to date. Both tweets could be related.

Looking at the last year, Xiaomi also tweeted “Ready? Ready!” sent. Shortly thereafter, the date for the then-new Mi 11 series was announced. This, in my opinion, makes it clear that there will be an announcement today or tomorrow at the latest, but no presentation of the new devices yet.
