With widgets for iOS, Apple has ensured that Google is finally developing the Android feature further. More and more Google apps are now benefiting from this, and therefore we users too. Google is continuing its widget offensive that started with Android 12. There are new widgets for some of the custom apps and even the first widgets for a few apps. This includes digital wellbeing, as was discovered early on. Colleagues managed to capture the first new widget on screenshots.
It is the first widget ever for Digital Wellbeing. It provides a look at device usage time and the top 3 apps you use. It’s quite possible that it won’t be the only widget. It’s not yet usable for us, but that’s probably only a matter of a few weeks. As this leak already shows, there are different styles for this widget depending on the selected size. Google introduced this individuality with Android 12 and I’m a big fan of it.
