Robinhood is now testing cryptocurrency wallets with support for Dogecoin and more

In a recently released beta version, Robinhood, a well-known retail trading platform, has begun to roll out a cryptocurrency wallet function. The wallet will initially be available to 1,000 people on the financial services company’s waiting list, with the program expected to expand to 10,000 by March before opening to others on the waiting list.

Participating customers will be able to transfer cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin between Robinhood and external crypto wallets, fully connecting the company’s cryptocurrency holders to the blockchain ecosystem for the first time.

Testers will also help test core features and provide feedback that will help shape the final version of the product, Robinhood said. Users are limited to a total daily withdrawal of $2,999 for a maximum of 10 transactions. They also need to have two-factor authentication enabled.
