First, wrong weather warnings, then the renewed disappearance of the weatherman and the new design of the weather overview was gone in the meantime. There is a huge problem in the Google app, there is a new error.
Rarely have we seen such a mess as with the weather functions of Google smartphones. Now again, because the square weather widget no longer works properly. As numerous users report, you can tap the weather widget, but nothing happens. So the weather overview in the Google app is not called up, as it should be.

I can confirm this fact with two Pixel 6 devices. This is curious because the other pill-shaped widget works as usual. You can tap on it and the weather overview will open immediately. I guess the bugfix update isn’t long in coming because the bug isn’t too big.

A workaround would be to update the app version of the Google app to an older version. But it’s probably not worth the effort.
